Changes occur during 35th week of pregnancy

Baby's Development -

Baby weighs about 2,400 grams, but this week begins baby's most rapid period of weight gain — about 8 to 12 ounces (226 to 340 grams) each week. Fat is being deposited all over baby's body, especially around the shoulders. Because of this increasing size, baby is now cramped and restricted inside the uterus, so fetal movements may decrease, but they may be stronger and more forceful. If baby is in a headfirst position, his or her head will rest on pubic bone in preparation for labor.

Woman's Body -

Woman's uterus, now reaches up under her rib cage. Ballooning uterus is crowding other internal organs, which is probably have to urinate more often and may be dealing with heartburn and other gastrointestinal distress. This is also a good time to create a birth plan, like who'll be present, what pain management techniques want to try etc. Try to rest as much as woman can — she will be tired and there won't be much time for rest after the birth.
